A Picture Really is Worth A Thousand Words!
A good photograph of a home for sale is worth a thousand well-chosen words of ad copy. We all make our decisions based on impressions as carefully reasoned solutions. We are thinking beings, we are feeling beings, and if a photograph makes us feel something, we will remember it. Indeed, we will do what we can to learn more about the home in the photograph.
About 90% of those considering buying a home start with the Internet today and looking at photographs of the homes for sale. The task of taking good photographs should fall into your real estate professionals marketing plan.
In my opinion, the photographs may be one of the single most important elements in the marketing program for a home. Think of how much a genuine smile means when you meet someone, or how much the first few words of a song mean. So many of us assume we know how to take a good snapshot but when you look at photos shown on the internet it is clear that most are not carefully planned. For photos to be effective in marketing they should grab the eye, let each room tell its own story, and help sell the home by letting the home be enjoyed and experienced thus creating the need and urge to visit.
